Workbench Icons
This is a collection of original Icons and a pointer for your Workbench
Disk, plus three extra Disk Icons-- Dem.info and Comm.info, and File.info.
Dem.info is intended for an Amiga demos disk, such as one containing
the Juggler, Robocity, Boing, and other demos which show off your
Amiga's talents. The Comm.info icon is intended, of course for a
communications disk, and File.info for a file disk.
Execute.me will unclutter your disk, and set up the appropriate directories.
The "disk" icons are really garbage icons, and must be changed to Disk Icons
with Icontype before using. Icontype is included for your convenience in the
IcnTls drawer, and also in the DskIcns drawer. Simply CD to DskIcns, for
example, then type "Icontype Dem.info disk". The Icon Dem.info will remain in the
drawer, but will not be visible on the workbench screen.
To transfer the icon to disk, simply delete"Disk.info", if it appears,
on the chosen disk, then copy the file to that disk, and change its name
to "disk.info". The new icon will not appear until the disk is taken out
of the drive and reinserted.
The Workbench Icons are Pref.info for Preferences, CL.info for CLI, and
Trsh.info for the Trashcan. These are already correctly typed, and you need
only delete the appropriate icons on your Workbench disk, copy the new icons
to the disk, and change the icon names to Preferences.info, CLI.info, and
Trashcan.info, respectively.
Also, you will find a pointer file, SDpoint.p in the IcnTls drawer. This
is a screwdriver pointer which looks good with the Workbench Icons. You will
find a prefs and prefs.doc file in the same drawer. When in this directory,
you need only type "prefs SDpoint.p" to change the pointer you are using to a
screwdriver, and if you like it, you can open Preferences, and save the pointer
to disk.
The drawer icons were designed to match the Workbench Disk icon and the
Trashcan icon and they look good on the WB screen with the others. If your
makedir command creates drawers, thus writing over the custom ones, you will
find a copy of the custom drawer named EmptyB.info in the EmptyA directory.
All of the Icons are of the double-image type.
You are welcome to share and use these icons with others in any way you
would like, or to upload them on other bulletin boards, but no commercial
rights are released, and any such use is not allowed without permission.
I hope you find these to be fun.
Best of luck, Whit Haydn (Magic)
